Has God Shown Me My Husband??? Part #1

As I lead ManFast, this is a question that I get asked all the time...

"I think God showed me the person I'm supposed to marry. Is that really God or is it me?"

First of all let's be clear: God does and will speak to His children about the plans He has for their lives, even where marriage is concerned. These are some scriptures to back this up. (John 10:14; 27-29, Isaiah 30:21, Psalms 23:1-2, 1 Samuel 3:1-10; Matthew 1:18-25)

One that I want to share is Deuteronomy 29:29 ~

“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”

So basically, when God has something for you, He'll reveal it to you and tell you exactly how to possess it! However, the more important question is not 'if' God has revealed your mate, but WHY has God revealed your mate???

Well, I can give that answer in one word: PREPARATION!

Amos 3:7 says, "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his "plan" to his servants the prophets."

Not only will God reveal what He wants you to do, but the "plan" He's established to bring it to pass. Without this information you won't know what direction to take or what moves to make to obtain the promise of God.

He also reveals things to us, in advance, to give us the time and wisdom to make changes and adjustments in our own hearts and lives so that when the time arrives for the promise to come to pass, we're fully prepared to walk in it. God would not be a just God and a righteous Father if He didn't give us everything we need to walk in the things He called us to do.

And trust me... Everyone who is called to be married must prepare to be married if they want a vibrant, satisfying, lasting marriage relationship!

So if God is talking to you about the individual who could possibly become your spouse, then thing to do with that information is to take it right back to the Father. Ask Him to clarify that word, to make sure it's not just you or the pizza you ate before going to bed!

If He confirms that you've heard correctly then ask Him to give you whatever instructions you need to prepare for the promise.

Now understand this: This is NOT the time to run and tell everyone, because it's not time for everyone to know! Until God fully manifests the promise, keep it hidden in your heart and continue to seek His face, allowing Him to lead and guide you through the process that He's already ordained to make this to happen.

To keep from getting discouraged during the process phase, be sure to focus more on the Promise-Giver than the promise itself. This is God's doing and He's the only one who can bring it to pass, according to His will and His timing!

I hope this helps someone! If you have additional questions on this or any other matter of the heart, feel free to inbox us here on Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/ManFastPlan  or via our ministry email - ManFast@ManFast.net

Peace ~
